Strategy Buys 17,994 BTC With $1.2 Billion MSTR & STRC Offering

Strategy has added another large Bitcoin purchase to its balance sheet.

The company bought 17,994 BTC after raising $1.2 billion through a combination of MSTR and STRC offerings.

Breakdown of the $____ Billion MSTR & STRC Offering

Strategy (MSTR) announced the purchase of 17,994 Bitcoin, funded through a combination of MSTR and STRC offerings.

The company raised approximately $1.8 billion in total capital to finance the Bitcoin purchase.

Dilution Details

To fund the transaction, Strategy issued new shares through its capital programs:

  • MSTR shares issued: 6,327,541 shares
  • STRC shares issued: 3,776,205 shares

The majority of the capital was raised through MSTR, which accounted for roughly 71% of the total offering.

However, STRC accounted for an impressive 29% of the total offering for $377 million.

This structure allowed Strategy to continue expanding its Bitcoin treasury while balancing dilution between its equity and preferred share programs.

STRC’s Role in the Purchase

STRC alone helped fund the purchase of over 5,300 BTC, making it a meaningful contributor to the overall transaction.

This highlights how Strategy’s multi-security capital strategy is being used to acquire additional Bitcoin even during crypto bear market climates.

Impact on Bitcoin Per Share

Following the purchase, Strategy’s Bitcoin per share (BPS) increased by approximately:

+1,484 Sats per share

The increase in BPS suggests the transaction was accretive to shareholders, meaning each share now represents slightly more Bitcoin exposure.
