Strategy (MSTR) Q3 2026 Earnings Preview: Date, Estimate, & Implied Move

Strategy (MSTR) is scheduled to report its Q3 2026 earnings after the market closes on Thursday, October 29, followed by its earnings call at 5:00 p.m. ET.

Heading into earnings, Wall Street expects another potentially volatile move for MSTR shares.

MSTR Q3 2026 Earnings Estimate

The Zacks consensus earnings estimate is $21.50 per share for Q3 2026.

Zack's MSTR Q3 2026 Key Earnings Data

Strategy’s reported earnings can fluctuate significantly because changes in the value of its massive Bitcoin holdings can impact net income.

For that reason, investors may look beyond headline EPS and focus on Strategy’s Bitcoin holdings, BTC Yield, capital raises, preferred stocks and overall Bitcoin acquisition strategy.

MSTR Options Price in an 11% Move

The options market is currently pricing in an implied move of approximately 11% around Strategy’s earnings report.

The implied move doesn’t predict whether MSTR will rise or fall. Instead, it reflects the magnitude of the move options traders are pricing in.

For example, if MSTR entered earnings at $140, an 11% move would equal approximately $15.40 in either direction, implying a range of roughly $125 to $155.

MSTR Stock Performance After Earnings

MSTR’s recent earnings reactions show why traders are preparing for volatility.

Earnings ReportMSTR Move After Earnings
Q2 2026-4.6%
Q1 2026Slightly Negative
Q4 2025+26.1%
Q3 2025+5.9%

Strategy shares declined following each of the company’s last two earnings reports.

However, MSTR had a much different reaction following Q3 2025 earnings. Shares jumped nearly 6% following the release.

What to Watch on October 29

The headline EPS number will attract attention, but investors will likely be watching Strategy’s Bitcoin holdings, Bitcoin purchases, BTC Yield, Bitcoin per share, MSTR issuance, preferred stock activity and management commentary.

With options pricing in an approximately 11% move, October 29 could be one of MSTR’s biggest volatility events of Q4 2026.

The key question is whether Strategy can deliver results strong enough to reverse its recent streak of negative post-earnings reactions.

My MSTR Q3 2026 Earnings Gameplan

I expect MSTR earnings to be positive since October 29th falls right near the end of Uptober, which is the 2nd best month historically for Bitcoin.

After 2 negative earnings reactions in a row, Strategy shares could pump anywhere from 5 to 10% after the announcement.

This is a good time to take some profits on MSTR stock right before the potential MSTR midterm election crash.

I will most likely sell some of my shares and sit on cash while I wait for US midterm elections on November 3rd.

As for my call options, I will probably sell some of them (if at a profit) and hold a few after the 10/29 earnings release.

Holding options after earnings is very risky so I will probably sell most of them beforehand to lock in some profits.
